About Jonathan

Mobile to Modern Workplace

I started my modern workplace career working for BlackBerry - that might sound a little bit ironic as most people don't associate a legacy device like BlackBerry with modern workplace, but in 2001 we were joining non-domain joined devices to domain related services.

Following time as both a Sales Engineer and managing a team of technical account managers, I gained  a huge amount of experience working to integrate solutions across organisations to allow access to email and calendar but also intranet and business related applications.

As my time at BlackBerry drew to a close, I moved to O2, where I started to understand how iOS and Android devices could be managed to provide access to enterprise services, whilst maintaining a high level of security.  The highlight of this was the implementation of devices for police officers at Sussex & Surrey Police.  Details on this can be found here.

With the advancement to laptop deployments, I have assisted key customers to deploy and manage laptops for large projects of critical national importance.

Leading a team of sales specialists consolidated my skills in both sales management and strategy; by collaborating with product teams, technical architects and sales teams, we were responsible for changing the way organisations work to provide efficiency, whilst also achieving our sales objectives year on year.

At home I'm married to Tally and parent to two kids - although at 17 and 19 I'm not sure that applies in the same way any more.  For fun I cycle and marshal for motorsport.
